How can I describe it?  It's a silly conception: It's fun, groovy, and mildly insane  - can you say Grateful Dead?

This is really pretty silly stuff - it's total and complete party music though. I had the idea years ago with a tune I wrote called
Electric Lady. We did it with
Miles Ahead for awhile, but it didn't really fit the band. So we scrapped it... but I started jamming
with the Rat-Daddy (he's the guy in the Pope costume) and his friends in some dude's basement.  It was some good players
and some people who had no musical skill at all. It was NUTS!! We made horrifically cool sounds and once in a while some
decent music.  I thought - hey now... we should record this. So I grabbed the guitarist (Brian) and a couple of guys from other
projects and presto - Grunglefunk

The album was recorded start to finish in song order in one take. We spent less than 2.5 hours in the studio. That includes
set-up, tear-down, beer breaks, pee breaks, and the 3 times we had to start Electric Lady (Ratten....) Mind you - nobody but
me and the Rat-daddy had ever seen that tune before that night so it was kind of Miles Davis of us.

Anywhooo... we had a great time, we shot a video and you can enjoy our music now.  We've been included on several
compilation albums and a Billy Miller film called "Open Mic!"
